A message to our customers

At Ballance, our commitment to supporting our customers has always been a top priority, even more so now in the wake of the global COVID-19 pandemic.

I want to personally reassure you that we are taking practical steps to achieve this and are listening to the experts, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Business Innovation and Employment, to ensure we are following correct protocols.

This is a great time to take advantage of MyBallance, our online platform where you can order product, see a summary of your nutrient spend and use, and receive regular updates. If you aren’t already registered for MyBallance, you can do so at myballance.co.nz/register.

People & Communities 

We are open for business and we know you are too. You have a business to run, animals to feed and soils to nurture, and we're here to help you do this, even if we need to do things a bit differently.

Our Nutrient Specialists will still be undertaking customer visits for soil testing, crop inspections and fertiliser requirements. Prior to visiting, we will call to confirm that you are comfortable with the visit and check that you, your family and staff are well, and no one is in self-isolation. If you believe there to be any risk, please let us know and we will find an alternative arrangement.

We will avoid any unscheduled visits for the foreseeable future.

Our staff will observe all personal hygiene and safety practices. There is a lot that all of us can do every day to help minimise the spread of any infection. For more information, please visit the Ministry of Health website

Locally made with a local supply network 

Ballance is a New Zealand company and we produce our products locally. At this stage, it is unlikely that our product supply will be interrupted. We have good inventory levels and, if needed, we have contingency plans in place to ensure we can continue to supply our key products.

Our supply teams, including merchants and spreaders, will continue to operate as normal but with increased precautions. We welcome you to our sites and service centres, where our staff will be following personal hygiene and safety practices to ensure your safety. Hand sanitiser and wipes will also be available.

Celebrating New Zealand’s best farmers and growers 

While the Ballance Farm Environment Awards events have been postponed, we are still focused on showcasing the best in good farm practices and promoting sustainable land management.

  • 2020 National Fieldays - postponed indefinitely
  • Ahuwhenua Awards – tbc
  • Dairy Women’s Network Conference– cancelled
  • Nuffield Conference – cancelled
  • Pioneer Rural Professionals Conference – postponed
  • Irrigation NZ Conference – postponed
  • Young Grower of the Year Awards – cancelled


We will update you on any new dates and details over the next few weeks.
