Shareholder Update, September 2024

Dear valued shareholder,

In this update, we announce another initiative that we are launching to deliver further value to you as a Ballance shareholder.

Applications are now open for our Fixed Price Nitrogen pilot, as mentioned in our last update, and we remind you of our 2024 Annual Meeting to be held online later this month.

Announcing SimplyFert

As signalled in our update on 16 August, we will be announcing several new initiatives in the coming months. Today we are announcing SimplyFert, an ex-hub model which gives you access to our core products at a lower, ex-hub price.

A minimum order of 12 tonnes must be placed and picked up directly from one of Ballance’s hubs located at Mount Operations, Maru Street, Timaru and Awarua (rather than a local Service Centre) and cover your own freight costs from our hub to your farms.

Please note, if you purchase SimplyFert you forgo the additional services Ballance offers, through its normal channel, such as nutrient advice, digital tools, and new products.

We know that most of you value the full service that Ballance provides, however there are some, who in some instances, don’t require the support and convenience of our full distribution network or who may not want access to our full suite of services.

This is the second service innovation we have launched this quarter, following the announcement of our Fixed Price Nitrogen pilot last month.

We will continue to look at ways to offer services and solutions that meet your needs.

SimplyFert is available at Mount Operations, Maru Street, Timaru and Awarua. For further information please go to www.simplyfert.co.nz
