Ballance is excited to announce that Dr Stuart Kay has accepted the role of Innovation Lead. Working with industry leaders is essential when developing future ready projects. Stuart has a deep understanding of science, great people leadership, entrepreneurial and commercial know how, excellent understanding of pastoral sheep & beef and dairy farming, and fully understands business process with global supply chain experience. He has a PhD in botany and plant biology and a strong track record of success in R&D in the horticulture and arable sector. In 2017 he was the recipient of a Prime Ministers’ science award. Stuart is looking forward to leading the innovation team and finding new ways to support farmers and growers to be sustainably productive.
