Ballance Agri-Nutrients, a New Zealand farmer and grower owned co-operative, is wanting to encourage people interested in the future of the primary sector to stand for the board.
The Ballance purpose is very clear; “Together, Creating the Best Soil and Food on Earth”. The co-operative has always been committed to challenging the status quo and bringing innovative thinking to the food and fibre sector.
“We are looking for board candidates that represent the diverse range of our shareholder (owner) base and have the necessary skills to add value through effective governance,” says Duncan Coull, Ballance Chair.
“We want to attract nominees that have good communication skills, are strategic thinkers, with commercial acumen and a drive for continuous improvement.
“This is your opportunity to join a group of directors committed to leading Ballance into the future, and at the same time making sure our owners (New Zealand farmers and growers), have the products, services and tools they need to be sustainably productive.”
As a result of many years of investment in innovation, Ballance is perfectly positioned to support the future competitiveness of New Zealand.
This is the first year that all shareholders can vote in all wards, not just the ward they reside in. Whether you are putting yourself forward for a director role or voting, this is your opportunity to influence the future of Ballance.
“This is an exciting time to take up an agribusiness leadership role, we have one vacancy and one contestable seat available on the board.”
