Nrich is Ballance's own urea blend, either made right here in New Zealand at the ammonia-urea manufacturing plant in Kapuni, or sourced from quality suppliers overseas.
Regardless of its source, Nrich Urea comprises hard, evenly sized, smooth granules for easy spreading.
Nrich Urea is a concentrated source of nitrogen used to increase the yield of pasture and crops, helping to fill feed gaps that invariably arise during the year. Used strategically and tactically, fertiliser nitrogen is an effective adjunct to the biologically fixed nitrogen provided by clovers and other legumes.
Benefits
• A concentrated source of nitrogen used to improve pasture and crops yields.
• Nitrogen provides an important role for protein synthesis in plants and animals.
• Nrich Urea has hard, even-sized granules making it easy to handle and spread.
Directions for use
Apply to pasture, crop or soil as required for meeting plant demand.
The most reliable responses to fertiliser nitrogen occur when pasture is actively growing, and there is an adequate amount of pasture present, i.e. grass is 40-50mm in length with adequate time (3-6 weeks) allowed between grazing.
Nitrogen will not increase plant growth to optimal levels if soil temperature, moisture or lack of other nutrients is limiting plant growth.
The optimum timing for fertiliser nitrogen applications is August through to May and when soil temperatures are above 7 degrees.
Urea should only be applied when there is a high degree of certainty that a minimum of 5-10 mm of rain will fall in the following 8 hours.
Do not graze animals if visible fertiliser is present on pasture.
Storage information
To maintain product quality, Nrich Urea should be stored in cool, dry conditions and should not be stored for a prolonged period.
Keep out of reach from children and pets.
WARNING - Avoid placement near waterways.
For detailed advice on good fertiliser spreading practice, see the guidelines in the Code of Practice for Nutrient Management, which can be downloaded from fertiliser.org.nz.
