The New Zealand Farm Environment Trust-run awards are all about celebrating best practice, and sustainable farming and growing.
They celebrate farmer and grower achievement and showcase good practice, enabling the sharing of positive farming and growing stories with all audiences.
The BFEA assessment considers the farm system, including:
- Animal and plant care
- Biodiversity
- Business health
- Climate
- People and wellbeing
- Soil
- Water
- Waste management
Being part of the awards means meeting like-minded people and having the opportunity to share knowledge and ideas. It’s not about being perfect or “finished” – it’s about making progress and always improving.
